Carlisle’s HERTALAN® EPDM Induction System is a circular roof covering in which prefabricated EPDM membranes are mechanically attached by means of induction. The EPDM membrane is connected at the bottom to pressure distribution plates that have already been installed. Induction then heats the metal pressure distribution plates, making the coating plastic.

The EPDM adheres to it and after cooling (with cooling magnets) the coating solidifies and the connection is made. This same process can be used again at the end of its useful life to disconnect and easily dismantle the roof covering. This technology makes it possible to reuse EPDM roofing or to use it completely circularly.
Circular and releasable EPDM roofing
The circular use of roofing has entered a new phase. Dismantling traditional roofing is not easy and separating the materials is time-consuming and expensive. High-quality reuse is therefore often difficult. This is significantly different with EPDM roofing. EPDM roofing is already known for its sustainable character and EPDM also offers a distinctive advantage in the areas of reuse and circular use. With our HERTALAN® EPDM Induction System we offer an innovative, circular and demountable roof covering.
